The Elpress Crate Inspection System (CIS) checks, fully automatic, whether your crates are clean. No more manual inspection, no more human error, just continuous consistent quality and control. Thanks to smart vision technology and self-learning software, the CIS system works reliably and quickly.
Advantages

The Crate Inspection System (CIS) is a visual inspection system that determines within one second whether a crate is clean or damaged on the inside. The technology works with smart cameras that inspect each crate. Using machine learning, the system recognises dirt, damage and stickers. Based on pre-set rules, the system determines what to do with the dirty and damaged crates.
In combination with our (optional) eCloud data platform, the results are immediately stored digitally for audits and analysis.
The Elpress Crate Inspection System can be installed and used behind all crate washers. The system measures 3500 x 1300 x 1850 mm (LxWxH). The system is suitable for crates with maximum dimensions of 600 x 400 x 300 mm (LxWxH).
Request informationThe CIS system uses intelligent cameras that are capable of thoroughly inspecting every crate, both the sides and the bottom. Within just one second, the system indicates whether a crate is clean and/or undamaged. Because the system works without a flash, operators are not hindered while working with the machine.
The camera is also equipped with a protected lens in a pressure chamber, which prevents fogging and ensures optimal image quality at all times. Once the system has been installed and trained, it is able to recognise specific crate types and forms of contamination.

Would you like to further improve your hygiene processes? Then you can easily link the CIS system to eCloud, Elpress's smart data and monitoring platform. This combination gives you immediate insight into all inspection results and provides you with a complete digital report of your crate inspection.
The system helps you to comply with the strict requirements of HACCP and ISO standards, among others. It also helps you to easily analyse trends, optimise processes and substantiate quality decisions. By linking the CIS system to eCloud, you turn visual inspection into a data-driven and transparent process, giving you complete control.
In many production environments within the food industry, the inspection of crates is still a manual process. Employees often visually assess whether a crate is clean and/or undamaged. This approach is not only error-prone and expensive, but also poses a risk to the continuity of your production.
When contaminated or damaged crates enter the process unnoticed, this increases the risk of cross-contamination, downtime or quality problems. At the same time, pressure from legislation and regulations is increasing: HACCP and ISO audits increasingly require demonstrable and documented hygiene and quality controls. Without digital registration, it is difficult to comply with these requirements.
In addition, broken crates pose logistical risks. In storage and warehouse environments, a single defective crate can lead to unstable stacks and even domino effects in which multiple pallets fall over.
The CIS system is a fully automated and reliable inspection solution. The system guarantees that only crates that are actually clean and intact move on to the next stage. This not only saves costs, but also increases the safety, sustainability and reliability of the entire process.
In short: with the CIS system, you work smarter, cleaner and safer.
The Elpress Crate Inspection System (CIS) offers maximum control and certainty regarding the condition of crates.
The CIS system, measuring 3500 x 1300 x 1850 mm (LxWxH), is placed behind a crate washer, where it checks whether the cleaning process has been successful and whether the crate is clean and intact before it continues in the production process. This prevents contaminated or damaged crates from being put back into circulation unnoticed.

The Elpress Crate Inspection System delivers fast value through:
In most cases, the CIS system pays for itself within an average of 1.5 years with a crate volume of approximately 50,000 to 70,000 crates per year. The savings come from lower labour costs and less production downtime. In addition, the higher process reliability helps to avoid hidden costs such as rejects or quality claims.
