Plukon Food Group

With a weekly slaughter capacity of 6.8 million chickens, Plukon is one of the largest players in the market for poultry meat in Europe. The Plukon food group has 13 sites (8 poultry slaughterhouses and 5 processing and packing operations) in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. In the past Elpress and Plukon have already worked together to find a hygiene solution for the Plukon plant in Ommel.

Given the size of our poultry slaughterhouse in Maasmechelen, a hygiene solution with a fast passage of staff was our challenge. From the outset, Elpress left a strong impression as an advisor. With innovative and practical solutions, a hygiene gate was created that can effortlessly handle large numbers of employees. So we are again very enthusiastic about the end result

Elements of the Plukon Food Group hygiene lock

For the design of the Plukon Food Group hygiene lock, a high throughput of personnel is factored in. The four key elements of personal hygiene are divided into several sections. Use is made of access control several times, so that the maximum hygiene is ensured.
